Peeling skin away from drunken eyes
I see a screen display the passing time
Picture of an island scene
Reminds me of an ancient dream
All the places I've never seen
I've never seen
Every day I make a bigger better plan
As the years pour through my empty hands
Like a 50s TV scene
Housewife with her magazine
Dreaming of who she'll never be
I shake my head in wonder every night
How I came to be the villain of my own life
Jealous rage every day
Children looking forward to their happy times
I only look behind
Pills and cigarettes
Numbing the faint regret called my life
I shake my head in wonder every night
How I came to be the villain of my own life
I shake my head in wonder every night
How I came to be the villain of my own life
I'm a sucker for a bass-driven band and The Black Black are certainly that !! The cool artwork and twisted lyrics add to their dark sound (which is to me is very British) and I just can't stop playing it. So glad I got the 'psychedelic brown' version when I could and they lovingly sent it to me well packed all the way to the UK from NYC.
More, more, MORE !! clivemonster
